Who has come across your path today?
Of the over 6.4 billion people in the world –
what are the chances or coincidence
that you and another person are at the same place at the same time?
I do not believe in coincidences.
I do believe that God places us---where we are at a given moment…for His
purposes.
Yesterday morning David and I took a long walk
and we crossed the road in front of an older black convertible Cadillac.
We walked directly in front of the car within feet of the young male driver.
And I thought about him….for a minute.
However, I admit that I did not give him much thought or pray for him.
Hours later-- Dave was doing a three mile run around our resort
and he heard screeching tires and crushing metal.
He jumped up & scaled the concrete wall,
scraping his knees and knuckles to the point of bleeding.
The sight in his view was of a twisted car…the black convertible Cadillac.
He saw no motion from the driver’s side.
He did the best thing he could do….he prayed for the young man,
that just hours ago was directly in our path and us in his.
We don’t know the condition of the man.
Or if he is even still on this side of Heaven.
But God does.
Out of curiosity--David bled a little-- scaling the concrete wall
trying to see the guy in the wreck.
Out of love--Jesus shed his blood-- for that driver’s life.
So look around. Who is crossing your path today?
Say a prayer for him or her that they
come into the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
You never know…what a difference a few hours.. can make in their life….
or the power of prayer on their behalf.
But God does….and for this very reason…
He placed him or her in your path today.
